We were both pleased and proud to have been involved in this project to build a new school for children with autism in Patchway, Bristol. Working alongside BAM Construction Ltd we were asked to apply the line markings to the car park as one of the final elements of the project prior to opening in November 2019.
Congratulations also goes to Laurie Pym, Apprentice Surveyor, who was our liaison on the project and, awarded Construction Apprentice of the Month for his work, by the CITB initiative Shared Apprenticeships South West.
We have again been awarded accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor and SMAS Worksafe for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace.
This means that we have met the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) core criteria recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and other SSIP accreditation schemes. As a company we are proud of these accreditation’s which show that we are serious about health and safety and, so far as reasonably practical, we will ensure that our work is carried out without risk.
There are not many jobs in our line of work where you need to calculate the tide times prior to attending site. Our first visit to the Burnham on Sea slipway didn’t quite go according to plan however our teams persistence paid off in the end.
We always welcome feedback from our clients so we were particularly pleased to receive the following message from Lee Townsend, the Health & Safety Manager at Etex Building Performance following completion of line markings at their Portbury site. Lee’s kind words have been passed on to our Operatives Andrew Wilson and Neil Brankin who were responsible for the work.
“Just wanted to say thanks for an excellent and professional job done by your team at the Portbury site this weekend.
After 27 years service we say a fond farewell to Mary Higgins as she leaves us to enjoy a well deserved retirement. Mary has been a pleasure to work with and we will all miss her very much. We wish her the very best of luck and hope that she enjoys every moment.
